Health
by: Enrique, Keiko and JB
Health is a big factor in education, affecting students more than you think. Sometimes, they go absent. Sometimes, they might just drop-out. But in other times, there is death. We all know and have seen this in it's most horrible form, or it's least comforting form. But, to save the lives affected by this rising problem, we must know what exactly it is.
So who will help with research? We, the health group do have information, and we wish to help.

What are the impacts of health issues to the education of children?
We made stories in the classroom and this is one of them.
Wilmae: Child with Cerebral Polsy
Wilmae’s Story
By Enrique
Another girl lies down, small and afraid of the future. Unsure of survival. She couldn’t see nor speak. She lies in the dark, waiting and waiting. There was only one thing to await, that one final breath.
The girl named Wilmae is that girl. She was born with Cerebral Palsy. There was a time when she was pretty much a normal baby. After sometime, her parents found out that she had the rare sickness known as cerebral palsy. The only thing that kept her alive was her milk and the medicines.
One day, she heard her brothers, going to school, and she wanted to go too.
“I’ll be going now! Bye” exclaimed Wilma. Wilmae frowned hearing that. She was jealous. She wanted to go to school.
Wilmae thought about the school the entire night, before finally going to sleep. She didn’t know someone was going to be sad too.
“Mom” called Willy, Wilmae’s brother.
“What is it Willy?” his mom asked.
“ Wilmae’s having another attack! Where is the medicine?” shouted Willy.
Willy gave Wilmae the medicine and had her drink from it. After a sudden cough, she was
better.
Willy sat back, relieved.”That was really close”.
“Willy...” his mom said, feeling weak.
“Can you drop out of school to take care of her?” she asked.
Willy sighed and simply said “Fine...”
Wilmae teared up and did her best impression for the words she desired to say. They could only be saying “I am so sorry”.
