Philippines adult Illiteracy Rate:
A chart pertaining on the rate of illiteracy.
As you can see, the rate of the girls to boys is particularly less than the one of the boys.
Although this is true, the overall literacy rate has grown and this means that the people of the world are getting more literate.
This doesn't mean that everyone is literate. Many people, especially the ones living in poverty, are illiterate because of many factors.
Illiteracy also has a lot of impacts, which contribute to the ever-growing number of issues in the world.

III. Impacts Of Illiteracy
IV. Reflection
As you may have noticed, the factors and impacts are almost all the same. This is because when you start something in the real world, it will affect other things too. The thing here is, the other thing that the factors affect is the impact itself. For example: one issue, poverty, is an adjective describing the people who have little or no income. They might also be bankrupt. But, poverty is also an impact. When a boy grows up, he doesn't study exactly well in school and then is not able to land a job when he got older. Then, he got married and had kids. These kids would also not be able to go to school because their dad has no money to send them there. The reason is because they are poor. You see, the cycle goes on and on until the world ends. Or, the more optimistic way of seeing the future; we might be able to eliminate the root cause of the cycle and then the generational cycle would end. As a class, the Grade 6 and 7 class were able to see that one main factor of the cycle was the poor quality of education. Then, we were able to split into four groups which are: Poverty, Accessibility, Health, and Illiteracy. This is why we have the PYP Exhibition.
